Fall Internship
September 2010 - December 2010
Position Summary
Are you looking to gain valuable experience during your internship? Then consider this paid, full-time internship based in Dexter, Michigan. You will learn about our innovative product line while selling product training to our existing customer base. You will participate in sales meetings, product instruction and sales training. Additionally, interns may contact and qualify sales leads for the department.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Selling of Training
  • Meet or exceed assigned quota of a minimum of 30 calls per day while consistently maintaining Sales databases will all call and profile activity
Secondary Accountabilities
  • Development of Sales Skills & Product Knowledge
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, and product instruction and sales process training.
  • Learn and understand specific products from the CS Professional Suite and as well as services. Know how they are used in the accounting profession, to the degree in which you can assess the applicability of the programs to our prospects.
  • Achieve a strong competency in all Tax & Accounting databases, tools and processes, specifically Flash, EMS and the Sales Cycle Codes.
  • Attendance at Sales Seminars to provide administrative support as requested by manager.
  • Complete client profile data within CRM through telephone contact with client-base

Qualifications
  • Preferred college student with emphasis on business degree or equivalent, preferably in sales, marketing or accounting and interested in pursuing a career in sales after graduation.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to communicate technical information over the phone.
  • Organized work habits: demonstrating consistency, effort and effectiveness.
  • Appreciation and demonstrated skill in a customer service or sales environment.
  • Ability to work in a close team setting and set personal goals.
  • Working knowledge of PCs, Windows, Networks, Internet.
  • Ability to gather, keep up-to-date and apply competitive information in the sales process.
  • Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism.
