Responsible to support the MPG Facilities team in the installation, repairs, and moves of presses and machinery within all MPG plants. Perform fabrication work for both Facilities projects and plants. Provide support to plant maintenance departments for machinery PM's and projects as directed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support the Facilities team and plant maintenance crews when workload is heavy
Support the rigging and installation of Facilities capital equipment upgrades
Perform fabrication projects for Facilities and the plants
Assist plants with maintenance projects and PM's
Conduct press PM's and follow-up on necessary repairs
Provide support of press problems found during PM's
Support major machine repairs to save costs of hiring outside contractors
Assist in various fabrication projects throughout the corporation
Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive machine repair and troubleshooting knowledge
Capable of setting up and operating various fabrication equipment
Capable of reading blueprints and welding according to prints
2 to 5 years experience with an automotive stamping supplier is preferred

Normal stamping shop environment which includes travel to plant sites on a daily basis
