What you'll do

The Position
The Finance Lead BI Architect will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of new data insight capabilities aligned with Docusign's Executive Leadership vision, supporting the Finance organization in making data driven decisions. They will create interactive analytics dashboards, and data sets across a variety of departments and initiatives to turn data into information, information into knowledge and knowledge into wisdom.

To accomplish this, they will have significant experiences working with underlying finance data structures, including database management systems, and the many technologies, tools, processes, and controls necessary to use the enterprise data assets. They will leverage these past experiences supporting similar Finance business transformation efforts at scale, communicating clearly all objectives, strategies and results cross-functionally across their teams and partners. Successful delivery of this work will elevate data analytics expertise across the Finance organization, and Business Transformation teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Transformation.

Responsibility

  • Develop and implement Finance data strategies and data driven insights for a SaaS company across Finance's Customer lifecycle, Quote to Cash, Revenue, and Forecasting space
  • Recommend, develop, and use KPI, Business performance data, industry trends,and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across Finance organizations (FP&A, Revenue, Accounting) to inform and support decision-making.
  • Architect and design comprehensive data-focused solutions that meet business requirements in support of priorities
    Regularly mine data from large SQL databases and different sources
  • Build conceptual logical and physical data models with facts and dimensions, aggregating in Snowflake
  • Design and mock up new dashboards to monitor performance metrics; maintain existing dashboards for accuracy and incorporate changes in the business
  • Consult with partners to understand business models, objectives, issues, and challenges in order to architect and design solutions that meet the requirements of the business end users
  • Participate actively in the development of Finance Business Transformation standard processes
  • Develop standards and data collection processes, data prep processes, to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines
  • Build statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies to support business.
  • Enforce and maintain standardized definition of Finance KPIs in the evolving business model
  • Build a strong relationship with data engineering to understand data availability, accuracy, and consistency; comfortable providing specifications for data tracking and data warehouse needs
  • Operate cross functionally in order to collaborate with end users, finance process SMEs, IT, Sales, and engineering organizations
  • Understand, analyze, and connect complex datasets from various sources, while leveraging Snowflake, to extract meaningful insights

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or Masters degree in related focus
  • 12+ years of analytical experience and working with large finance data sets
  • Experience in data architecture, data modeling, designing and data analysis with conceptual, logical, and physical modeling for OLAP and Snowflake data warehousing
  • Experience in building Data and analytics visual dashboards for Finance organizations

Preferred

  • CPA certification
  • Comprehensive and deep expertise in the Quote to Cash, Revenue, FP&A, and Accounting process areas for a Saas Company
  • Functional and technical expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud, SalesForce, Revpro
  • Strong background understanding of corporate finance
  • Experience as a Business and Data analyst in the following areas: finance, accounting, QTC and non-QTC
  • Exposure to Statistics, Econometrics, and Data Science concepts and tools
  • Experience in building Data and analytics stories with visual dashboards
  • Experience in Normalization of OLTP an denormalization of entities for Snowflake Data warehousing
  • Experience ins data governance and master data management
  • Extensive Experience in SQL, PL/SQL packages, functions, stored procedures, triggers
  • Experience in BI/DW solutions (ETL, Data mart, OLAP) and BI reporting tools like Tableau
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft and Google suite of products
    Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams


Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $130,500 - $208,050 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $123,700 - $174,700 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): 123,700 - $184,275 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
