Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligencedivisionis seeking an Applications Developer - Production Machining- Remote.

Functional Summary
The Applications Developer will use their technical skills to identify and provide dependable solutions for our diverse customer base. The Applications Developer is the first line of support for ourCAM Production Machining Software product line and is responsible for providing complete customer satisfaction regarding the use and implementation of custom solutions for our superior CAD/CAM software solutions.

Job Responsibilities


* Develop custom API software solutions for customers and industry partners
* Collaborate with software development team to drive core product growth
* Create and present technical training curriculums
* Pre-sale and post-sale technical support
* Travel to customer and industry partner facilities to execute projects and conduct advanced technical training sessions. Up to 30% travel time per year
* API Programming Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing API tools to create add-ins and macros for use withCAM Production Machining Software.
* Microsoft Office Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing MS Office suite for various administrative and project tasks.
* Software Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability to effectively use and adapt to various software packages.
* Customer Service Excellence: Strong skills in customer service, capable of addressing and resolving customer issues effectively.
* Communication Skills: Excellent in both oral and written communication, able to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
* Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Highly analytical with a focus on detail and precision in all aspects of work.
* Prioritization and Time Management: Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-Management and Motivation: Capable of self-direction and staying motivated without constant supervision.
* Collaborative Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting, contributing positively to team dynamics.Manufacturing: Knowledge of machine tool applications and machining processes is desirable.

* Frequently in a stationary position for extended periods of time; occasional bending/kneeling
* Manual dexterity required for keyboard use, operating office equipment, grasping objects.
* Regularly move around the office and occasionally customer shops.
* Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and adjust focus.
* Frequently communicates with other employees and customers.

Work Environment

Remote workers' home office will adhere the below characteristics to the best of their ability.

* Primarily an office setting, with occasional visits to the customer shops
* Office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated.
* Office noise levels are considered low to moderate.
* Customer shop noise levels are considered moderate.
* If required, PPE will be provided.
* Ability to travel up to 30%

Education


* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 1-3 years of related experience
* Previous experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
