Automotive and Energy Solutions: Business Development Engineer - Battery Test Solutions
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Engineer to drive business growth in the Americas region, focusing on supporting our battery test equipment business. This role will involve providing proposal support for large battery test projects and coordinating closely with our R&D team in Europe. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge from previous roles, along with strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with our Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams.
Responsibilities:
Proposal Support:
Lead the development of proposals for large battery test installations, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and technical specifications.
Collaborate with the Sales and R&D teams to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs and project objectives.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer in the Americas region, understanding their needs and providing technical support and solutions.
Serve as a technical resource for external and internal customers, offering insights and expertise on battery test equipment and installations.
R&D Coordination:
Coordinate closely with our R&D team in Europe to ensure alignment of product development efforts with market demands in the Americas region.
Provide feedback from the market to the R&D team to support the development of new products and features.
Sales and Marketing Support:
Work collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement business development strategies for the Americas region.
Support marketing initiatives, such as trade shows and conferences, to promote our battery test equipment solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to ensure alignment of messaging, branding, and product development efforts.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business growth and success in the Americas region.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Previous experience in business development or technical sales within the battery test equipment industry.
Strong industry knowledge acquired from previous roles is essential.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
