Your Role

As a Logistics Lead, you will help the logistics department, receiving freight and small parcels (processing in SAP / computer system and physically putting away), maintaining our cycle count procedures, administering the annual count, scheduling outbound freight including international freight and picking small parts for spare parts orders and cross train others in Logistics. You will obtain full competency in all areas. You will be report to the Supply Chain Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • You will schedule outbound shipments and prepare documents including invoices, BOLs, pro forma invoices, labels for transportation, etc.
  • You will prepare parts for assembly, staging materials and inspecting incoming goods (visual).
  • You will perform appropriate system movements in SAP to maintain constantly accurate inventory including transfer posting, inventory adjustment documents, goods receipt and COGI error resolution and maintain accurate inventory and storage location information in SAP
  • You will maintain a cycle counting program and establish best practices for inventory control; report out quarterly to management on the nature of inventory issues.
  • You will administer the annual count or other plant-wide counts as requested by management or controlling.
  • You will create SOPs, documentation and templates in OneNote or elsewhere as specified.
  • Responsible for setting the daily priorities in Logistics with the Supply Chain Manager and Production Lead
  • Participate in planning meetings with Production.


To succeed, you will need

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Warehouse experience or other logistics / shipping experience, preferred
  • SAP knowledge and/or general computer skills (Office), preferred
  • Experience with warehouse activities, material handling, visual inspection of incoming goods shipping preparation
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in SAP or another ERP system and demonstrated use of Excel or similar including formulas is required
  • Learn how to operate fork truck, pallet jack, overhead crane and ability to become certified to train others
  • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; ability to reprioritize throughout the day.

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma or GED required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand prolonged periods of time, 6 or more hours.
  • The ability to bend the body to stoop, reach for objects, and to crouch when needed is also required.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and adjust focus.
  • Regular lifting between 35-40 pounds frequently throughout the shift. We can make reasonable accommodation here as the Logistics Coordinator can request help from Logistics Specialists with lifting.
