Job Summary:
To support Product Development and Engineering with validation testing of bearings and components in the test laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Build bearing assemblies with tooling according to mechanical drawings.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure tests are setup correctly.
  • Monitor tests and maintain log sheets.
  • Manage daily tasks and setting of priorities.
  • Assist with identification, handling and storage of samples.
  • Perform maintenance on test equipment including greasing and changing bearings, belts etc.
  • Participate in Quality and EHS activities.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving duties.

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity using impact tools, torque wrenches, dial indicators.
  • Basic knowledge of machine shop equipment including lathes, bandsaws, and grinders.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to work on feet for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an environment with oils, fumes and elevated noise levels.
  • Associate degree or trade school certificate in automotive preferred.
  • Two years experience in a test lab environment or automotive repair.
