Maintenance Technician

Job Description Summary

Support production operations through both routine maintenance, and emergency repairs of mechanical systems. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and abilities is a must, hands on experience in industrial maintenance and repair is a plus. Systems being maintained include but are not limited to, mechanical forging presses, hydraulic extrusion presses, and both hydraulic and pneumatic motion systems.

Job Description

Please note, all specialized skills listed (i.e., welding, use of plasma cutter, operation of scissor lift / boom arms, overhead cranes, and fork trucks) are taught as part of the routine training for new hires in this role. While experience in these areas is a plus, it is not at all required.

-Support production operations for all maintenance and repairs for mechanical problems such as but not limited to conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, mechanical and hydraulic presses.

-Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain all plant equipment through the application of sound troubleshooting techniques and repair methodology.

-Work from available mechanical drawings and equipment specifications and schematics.

-Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits / equipment.

-Have a grasp of basic welding principles.

-Perform preventive, predictive, and routine inspection maintenance.

-Able to drive a forklift, scissor lift / articulating arm boom truck.

-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.

$1000 Bonus upon completion of 90-day training and evaluation period!

Required Skills and Education

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in machine maintenance/building preferred
