Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 leadership to a shift-based team, including performance management and development planning
  • Oversee shop floor material flow including shipping and receiving
  • Ensure transactional accuracy
  • Drive adherence to company standards and standard work instructions, safety protocols and rules and daily routines across the entire team
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in cooperation with other functions
  • Support SCM Manager in budget planning and control
  • Driving 5S activities to ensure standards are maintained or improved.
  • Proactively support risk assessments in the area, ensuring unsafe practices and equipment are identified and eliminated.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or other relevant focus, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience (1-3 years in automotive manufacturing environment)
  • Excellent understanding of lean logistics flow concepts
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, relationship building and conflict management
  • High level of commitment, flexibility and willingness to work on a team
  • Very good knowledge of the manufacturing processes
  • Process-oriented thinking
  • Quality Awareness, attention to detail and personal responsibility
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver to deadlines, strong communicator and assertiveness
  • Strong MRP experience required, SAP experience preferred
